Sir Steve tries out the Super Athletes experiment

It was great to show-off the primary and secondary kits at the Association for Science Education (ASE) conference in Liverpool at the start of the year. The feedback from teachers was tremendous and it was encouraging that so many people knew about the project. The quality of the materials was remarked upon many times and on one or two occasions we did have to confirm that the kits were entirely free for schools!

The room was packed-out for the demonstration of the experiments in the kits with Sir Steve Redgrave CBE, Greg Foot, and scientific commentary from Professor Hugh Montgomery. The session really did fuel excitement amongst the teachers and helped bring the relevance of the project to life.  To share some of that enthusiasm and see how you can bring excitement into your classroom (or sports hall!) around the 2012 Games, watch our film of Sir Steve Redgrave CBE in action.
